(a little fun)
Based on both the methodology of Six Degrees of Separation (Wikipedia article) in which allegedly any two people can be connected by a chain of six people or less and the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, which technically involves only actors.
Here's how it works, an example: Conrad is credited as a co-writer with Singleton on the film industry book Filmmaker's Dictionary (2000). Singleton is credited as an executive producer with composer James Horner on the film Another 48 Hours (1990). Horner again as a composer is credited with actor Kevin Bacon on the film Apollo 13 (1995). Therefore, Conrad is three degrees from Kevin Bacon using this particular methodology.
