Author James A. Conrad - Bio

Born: February 15, 1955, United States

Author, screenwriter, and physics researcher James A. Conrad began his professional writing career with the publication in 1988 of the softcover reference book The Model-Actor's Dictionary.  Before the appearance of this first formal dictionary dedicated to the worlds of modeling, television commercials, and music videos (over 1,700 terms), researchers and aspirants in those fields had only very limited glossaries found in the backs of modeling and acting how-to books.

He next followed this up with the hardcover second edition of Filmmaker's Dictionary.  It was published in 2000 and co-authored with Emmy Award-winning producer-director Ralph S. Singleton.  At over 5,000 entries, it is the film industry's largest reference dictionary.  He has also completed or has in development several screenplays and stories for film projects.  In between his writing work, he has done laboratory work in cerebral energy physics, a physics field of study term he coined; specifically, in the subfield of advanced cerebral energy physics, in which he operated his own full-scale psychokinesis laboratory, one the few known to have ever existed.  Website: http://jamesaconrad.com.
